ABOUT NCCR We manufacture and assemble all Gyttja bikes at our facility in Sweden with a focus on reliable constructions and longterm component suppliers. Our home trails startin behind the workshop, welcome to visit us for a test ride. OUR FRAMES We use Docol Tube R8, an automotive steel, manufactured by SSAB in Sweden. Additionally, we Strenx sheet metal and Toolox steel are used for machined components. All Gyttja frames and bikes are Pinion, Neodrives, UDH and DH fork ready, what means you can at any time decide to up- or down-grade your ride. With the detachable rear end, it’s highly compact to ship and easy to adapt to any user case. The weight of the frame is 2400 and 2500 g (with battery brackets for the e-assisted version 2800-3050g). Plus, the tail section which is 1700-1860g. Weight Limit is 180kg Total Systemweight (Bike with rider and luggage). We give a lifelong warranty on our frames for repair -no questions asked. THE FRONTFORKS All Gyttja has a standard a DH fork for two reasons. First, you can easily vary the geometry in both offset (different triples available) and height. Second, especially in our rigid version, you get some really sturdy additional bike packing possibilities, like longer parts upwards along the fork and double luggage rolls horizontal. Additional the Öhlins DH 38 and the Manitou Dorado forks are available (as Expert configuration or with steel spring). WHEELS & BRAKES We offer the Gyttja bikes with Mach 1 rims and Schwalbe tires, combined with Hope hubs. Brakes can be choosen between Hayes Dominion and Hope. RIDERS INTERFACE The dropper seatposts, handlebars, pedals, grips and saddles come from Ergotec, where possible with a max (6) rating. All components can be choosen individually in their catalog. PINION GEARBOX When you order your Gyttja bike, even as a Single Speed, it still comes with a bridge to accept the Pinion gear box, but with the NCCR bottom bracket adapter mounted. All Gyttja bikes are always Pinion, Neodrives and UDH ready. You can choose between 6, 9 and 12 Speed and SmartShift is available as well. GATES BELTDRIVE For low maintenance all our bikes are equipped with a CDX Beltdrive with a spring actuated belt tensioner. The layout of our tail section allow a quick belt change without any necessary frame openings. REAR HUB-MOTOR We see the e-assisted Gyttja as a reliable Overland Bikepacker and think in combination with the 6 to 12 speed Pinion gearbox, the Neodrives hub motor is the perfect set-up. First of all, the Gates CDX belt needs to handle only the torque generated by the rider, not the additional torque of the mid e-motor. That gives us together with the Pinion gearbox one of the most reliable drivetrains of the industry. The Neodrives is able to be used for recuperation braking (loading battery) and the system is easy to control by the simplyRemote. A mobile phone App and an optional simplyDisplay is available. BATTERY We use the Neodrives V10 720 Wh 36V battery. The range varies regarding with road profile, temperatures and the amount of assistance. Between 120km with minimum and 50km with maximum assistance should be realistic. In the Swedish cold winter we get at maximum load (Advanced Snow Track Riding) 30km out. The 950 Wh 48V battery option gives you a bigger range (up to 150km) and is recommended for the Speed Pedelec. All electric assisted Gyttja bikes have the battery mounted to the frame, covered by framebag, manufactured in Ventile material. Charging is both possible, either on the bike, or you can remove the battery pack. COLORS We offer Ceracote and powder coating as options for the frame and tail piece. Many powder coating standard RAL color are included in the base price (ask for the actual list please). For Cerakote and special RAL colors we need to add some extra costs. The Ventile bags are available in different colors, there we will discuss with you the best match. OPTIONAL ROADKIT Includes LED Lighting, Horn and Sidestand.
